Co-Founder and Director

For over ten years, Dr. Killingsworth was the Executive Director of the MIT Forum for Supply Chain Innovation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  Dr. Killingsworth was Director of the Office for Enterprise Innovation at the University of Alabama in Huntsville 2001 – 2014. Over the past ten years, he has worked extensively in the areas of manufacturing trends, industrial base assessment, and supply chain issues with the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and the DoD Office for Manufacturing and Industrial Base Policy, the Army Aviation and Missile Command, and the NASA National Center for Advanced Manufacturing.  He has also consulted with aerospace and defense prime contractors and first, second, and third tier aerospace suppliers.

More than 15 years’ experience leading complex SAP transformations across a wide range of industries, including Consumer Package Goods, Textiles, and Aerospace and Defense. Experienced as both a project consultant and project business lead, the value of planning and executing business transformation is well understood. Within Aerospace and Defense, the experiences include, General Atomics (Aeronautical and Electrometric divisions), NASA, and US Army Material Command (AMCOM). The primary focus at these organization ranged from supply chain optimization to full transformation from legacy systems to SAP. 

VP Client Development and Realization

Mr. Vrieling has over thirty years of experience in manufacturing and supply chain management. Prior to BLOCNETS, Jim was VP of Business Solutions at Mainstreet Applications for fourteen years working on supply chain / SAP implementations in commercial and government military environments. Jim also held positions as VP of Engineering for Timogen Systems, Inc. where he was responsible for software product development, and as VP of Global Supply Chain at SAP AG, where he worked with multi-national customers on their supply chain initiatives in the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Projects include Sony’s Pan Asian Supply Hub and Canada Post’s Supply Chain Event Management. He also has industry experience managing supply chain organizations, as well as implementing manufacturing and supply chain systems. Jim worked for Coors Brewing company as Director of Applications Development where he was responsible for their SAP and other systems, including distributor networking, transportation and radio frequency warehouse data collection. Mr. Vrieling holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Science (Computer Science) and Business Administration from Texas Tech University.
